Emergent Algorithm in Green
Available · in the studio, Phoenix
Green computing itself into being — the algorithm that finds its logic in growth rather than code.
In Emergent Algorithm in Green, order and vitality converge in a field of shifting light. A geometric plane anchors the composition, its cool precision surrounded by an organic current of layered green motion. The work explores emergence — the moment when pattern arises not from control but from connection.
This painting continues my dialogue between the algorithmic and the abstract, between the measurable and the felt. The central form represents structure, logic, and intention — the architecture of thought. Around it, sweeping strokes evoke the unpredictable pulse of nature and intuition. Together they form a single, coherent system: not code or chaos, but a living equilibrium.
Green, with its associations of renewal and balance, becomes both subject and metaphor. It suggests growth through repetition, evolution through harmony. Here, integrity is not enforced but discovered — an unfolding wholeness where geometry breathes and color listens.
Emergent Algorithm in Green mirrors my ongoing inquiry into how rules and revelation coexist — how abstraction, like life, finds meaning not through perfection but through presence.
Where to see it. In person at RituStudio, Phoenix, by appointment. Represented by Jarrow & Goodman, Los Angeles.
The space it needs
- Wall
- At least 5 ft wide
- Ceiling
- 8 ft or more
- Light
- Warm ambient light enhances organic palette — thread catches light beautifully
- Daylight
- Jade and forest green hold steady under Arizona daylight, but the contrast is soft, and direct sun can wash the neon green into the field. Filtered or indirect light keeps the growth legible.
Lives best in
Bedroom 5/5
The breathing geometry and the cool-to-warm green range create exactly the sense of living equilibrium a bedroom asks for, and the thread's subtle texture in warm light turns the surface into something that feels genuinely restful rather than merely decorative.
Living room 4/5
The four-foot canvas earns its score because the layered greens, from jade to neon, reward the close, unhurried looking that a living room invites, and the embedded thread catches shifting ambient light in ways that change the work across a day.
