Water found in thread — the same patient logic, the same indifference to resistance.

In Algorithm of Water, geometry meets fluid motion — the precision of structure immersed in the language of flow. Deep blues and shifting whites sweep across the surface like tides caught in motion, surrounding a square of stillness that holds the center. The composition balances turbulence and calm, creating a visual rhythm that feels both natural and constructed.

This work extends the Algorithm Series into elemental space. Where Algorithm of Air explored transparency and breath, Algorithm of Water turns to reflection, liquidity, and transformation. Here, integrity becomes fluid — no longer a fixed state, but a dynamic coherence that adapts and renews.

Water, as both form and metaphor, represents the algorithm of change: it yields, yet persists; it shapes by surrendering. The central dark square anchors this motion — an island of control within a sea of motion, or perhaps the still point from which motion emanates. The tension between gesture and geometry mirrors the creative process itself, where instinct and structure continuously seek equilibrium.

In this painting, the algorithm is not written but felt: a rhythm of emergence, erasure, and return — a silent architecture flowing beneath the surface of perception.

Where to see it. In person at RituStudio, Phoenix, by appointment. Represented by Jarrow & Goodman, Los Angeles.

The space it needs

Wall
At least 5 ft wide
Ceiling
8 ft or more
Light
Warm ambient light enhances organic palette — thread catches light beautifully
Daylight
Pale gray and cobalt carry almost no warmth, so the color holds steady near glass. Bright, flat sun is the risk, bleaching the pale passages; low side light lets the thread ridges read like moving water.

Lives best in

Bedroom 5/5

This is the painting's truest home: the cool blue-gray palette and the sense of a still point held inside slow motion settle the nervous system in exactly the way a bedroom needs, and the thread picks up a bedside lamp the way water catches last light.

Living room 4/5

Algorithm of Water earns its place in a living room because its four-foot square of pale gray and muted blue holds a conversation without ever raising its voice, and the embedded thread catches shifting ambient light in ways that reward an hour on the sofa as much as a passing glance.
